At first blush, "style" as it applies to fashion appears to have little to do with "style" as it applies to company style guides (whether for corporate style, documentation or UI design), but consider this: if your documentation is shabby, the customer remembers, if it has style, they notice your message.
Throughout my career, I have developed and expanded corporate, documentation and UI design guides to help everyone maintain a consistent on-brand style.
